In conversations with QUT Executive Director, Dr Michael Rosemann

      The inaugural ‘In conversations’ welcomed Executive Director, Corporate Engagement, and Professor of Information Systems, Dr Michael Rosemann. Procensol’s Chief Technology and Innovation Officer, Mervin Chiang sat down with his long-term friend and mentor to discuss current industry disruptors and the opportunities they generate.

      More about Dr Michael Rosemann:

      Since 2012, Michael has held the position of Professor and Head of the Information Systems School, Science and Engineering Faculty at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane.

      Michael’s research interest areas are business process design, innovation systems, research management and the affordances of disruptive technologies. His work is focused on creating exciting future worlds with today’s possibilities making current practices obsolete.

      He is an author of seven books, more than 250 refereed papers, Editorial Board member of ten international journals and co-inventor of two US patents. His publications have been translated into German, Russian, Portuguese and Mandarin.

      Michael’s PhD students have won the Australian award for the best PhD thesis in Information Systems in 2007, 2008 and 2010.

      Michael conducts global keynote presentations and his projects have previously received funding from partners such as Accenture, Australia Post, Bank of Queensland, Brisbane Airport Corporation, Infosys, Rio Tinto, Queensland Government, SAP, Suncorp, Water Corporation and Woolworths. Michael established the Woolworths Chair for Retail Innovation, the Brisbane Airport Corporation Chair in Airport Innovation and the PwC Chair in Digital Economy within QUT’s Information Systems School.

      Finally, Michael is a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society and the Queensland Academy of Arts & Sciences.
